DIP with Khoros 2: Course Directory Structure

Toolbox Course and Top Directory: "dipcourse"
Create a Khoros dipcourse "Toolbox" for the course. This
Toolbox directory is considered the top directory for all course materials.
The dipcourse "Toolbox" should be located at the same
level of the Khoros system Toolboxes.
The dipcourse directory will contain several files and
subdirectories, some of which are:
- Welcome.html: Main user interface page for the course (driver page).
- html: Subdirectory consisting of all subpages with information
about the course, the course itself, and subdirectories per topic addressed
by the DIP course.
NOTE: you may want to use a name other than dipcourse
for your Toolbox.
Subdirectory "html"
In this subdirectory you will locate files with the necessary information
about the course, i.e. where to get it, how to install it, FAQs, and
the driver pages for the course itself. Also, you will find subdirectories
for each topic covered in the course.

- acknowledgements.html:
Acknowledgements to the people and institutions that helped us develop
the course.
- authors.html: Information about the authors.
- bibliography.html: Reference material.
- contributions.html: Information for contributions.
- course-experiments.html: List of experiments for all
current lessons/workspaces.
- course-obj.html: General objectives of the course.
- dip-faqs.ascii: Frequently asked questions (FAQs) about the course.
- directory-structure.html: This file.
- get-how-install.html: Where to get DIP Khorosware and how to
install it.
- how-to-use.html: Suggested use of DIP Khorosware.
- known-bugs.html: Known Khoros 2 bugs and suggestions.
- license.html: License and copyright information
- list-exp-topic.html: Course Overview
- list-of-data.html: List of data (images, LUTs, kernels, etc) used in
the course. File formats can be of different types (e.g. viff, ppm, ascii, etc).
- list-of-operators.html: List of operators/glyphs used in the course.
- list-of-workspaces.html: List of cantata visual programs (solutions)
of DIP Khorosware.
- Single Level Subdirectories
- data: All data files (images, LUTs, kernels, etc) used in the
course. These files can be of distinct data types and file formats.
- localgif: GIF files used by html files.
- postscript: Publications related to DIP course.
- 2-Level Subdirectories
- classification: Object classification.
- dip-template: Subdirectory containing the template structure and
files followed in the course.
- dual-oper: Dual operands on data.
- image-manip: Image generation and manipulation.
- introduction: Introduction to DIP Khorosware. Basic digital image
processing concepts.
- k2tools: Khoros 2 software tools for data processing and
information visualization.
- linear: Linear operations.
- non-linear: Non-linear operations.
- one-oper: Single operands on data.
- reconstruction: Image reconstruction from projections.
- restoration: Image restoration procedures.
- wavelet: Wavelet analysis and transform.
Topic Subdirectories
Each subdirectory may contain one html driver file and a set of
lesson subdirectories. The name of these lesson subdirectories try
to reflect the main concept in each lesson, e.g. convolution.
Lesson Subdirectories
This is the subdirectory containing all material pertinent to a lesson.
It has the following files:
- front-page.html: Description of the concept and/or
experiment
- building-wk.html: How to build a visual program to demonstrate
a concept via an experiment, and a list of suggested exercises.
- *.gif: GIF files used by the lesson html files.
- *.wk: A proposed visual program to be used as a solution or
as reference.
- *.tex: sometimes a latex file to generate equations, etc.
