Building the Cantata Workspace

1. Use the image drawing.viff. Display it using the operator Display Image
2. Rotate the original object, use operator Rotate.
3. Geometrically scale the object by a factor of three considering the origin as the center of the image. The operator to use is Resample.
4. Translate the object using operator Translate. To mimic the periodic or wrap translation, use two times the operator Inset to build a tile of four images. Perform the translation and finally use the Extract operator to get the resultant image.

Exercises

• Perform the same experiment with different objects. Experiment by modifying the width and/or height of your objects.
• Create an encapsulate workspace to create the periodic translation operator.
