Getimage allows the user to select a window (or portion) from the screen running X-Windows, and turn it into a viff format image. Getimage provides the user with a convenient method to convert images from other formats into the Khoros 2.0 viff format.

Two ways of using getimage: from the command line user interface (CLUI):
getimage -o output.filenameYou specify the window by either clicking the mouse on the desired window, or by specifying the window by name.
getimage -o output.filename -eYou specify the image to be created by first clicking the mouse on the upper left hand corner, and keeping the mouse button down move the mouse to the right hand corner of the desired portion.
If you wish to use the Graphical User Interface then type:
getimage -guiand wait till you see the graphical user interface. Then make your selections.
