putanimate: Non-Interactive Image Animation

Quick non-interactive image animation can be accomplished by executing putanimate from the command line user interface (CLUI), by using the graphical user interface (GUI), or executing from cantata. There is limited flexibility on the display attributes of this tool.

The features provided by putanimate include:

• Input Image.
• Overlay Image.
• Clip Gate Image.
• Colormap Image.
• Colormap used?
• X placemwent coordinate.
• Y placemwent coordinate.
• Update time

The non-interactive image animation of the datafile "bluntfin.viff" is shown below.

Clicking on the "Options" button gives access to the display parameters shown on the following pane object.

Animate Object Attributes

putanimate can be executed from within cantata, or directly from the command line. To display an image from the command line user interface (CLUI) type:

        putanimate -i image.filename

        putanimate -gui
