Building the Cantata Workspace

1. Get image gull.viff, display it, take a one-level forward wavelet transform and take the inverse wavelet transform also with one-level of decomposition. Use the operators User defined, Display Image, and Wavelet Transform.
2. Extract the lowpass image, zeropadded to same size of the original image and take the inverse wavelet transform. Display the result. Use the operators Extract and Pad.
3. Find the difference between the original image and the reconstructed with the lowpass image. Use Absolute Diff.

Exercises

• Perform the same experiment but with different images.
• Perform the same experiment but use other quadrants of the transform to reconstruct the image.
