Abstract - The Gaia space mission will produce a huge set of data which analysis has to be prepared well in advance. From the point of view of the structure and evolution of the Galaxy, one aims to be able to deduce a scenario of formation from the chemical abundance distribution and from stellar kinematics. Suitable and complexe tools have to be developed from now on to reach this ambitious goal. Moreover, the Gaia data will need to be validated before their public release. A part of the validation will be done at the level of each CU. But a more complex validation is needed at the level of the DPAC-CU9. For doing so we propose an approach based on the population synthesis modelling for comparison of the data with a state-of-the-art model of the Galaxy (WP943).
